    Writing About Sex and Sports

    Sex is one of the hardest subjects for many writers. It can be hard enough to talk about; we tend to make jokes, be evasive, fall into cliché descriptions. We love the subject but we don’t always love talking about it. Writing about it, in detail, is even harder. It’s easy to sound too vulgar or too prudish.     Writer’s Block, First Dates and the Pressure to be Great!

    Most of us put a lot of pressure on ourselves. We strive to be the best, to see the fruits of our labor doing good in the world. We want to make an impact and an impression. And while we will say casually to others that we “can’t be good at everything” to console each other, we carry on putting pressure on ourselves to be “good at everything!” This year I am taking my blog in a new direction, opening up the subject matter to include many of my passions beyond dating.
